Dillon's music...

  • author: Steph

"A Month Ago Today" always makes me cry - it's so touching!!! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with your audience.

  • author: Catherine Schmidt

Dillon's music is music that touches the soul. He is brilliant at bringing forth heartfelt emotions into contempory music.

  • author: Carol (in Nashville)

I've followed Dillon's career for years, and this album is a fantastic result of a very talented musician. "Kiss Me With Your Eyes" is one of my favorites. It's a beautiful down-to-earth heart-wrenching song, full of emotion that strikes a chord in my heart. Keep up the good work, Dillon.

  • author: Brad Morrison

Forever is my favourite. The CD is pleasure and therapy....Brad in Canada

  • author: Carole in LA

I just saw Dillon in concert here in LA. Very touched and moved by his heartfelt lyrics. They have the feel of spontaneity as well as a wonderful balance between the colloquial and the lyrical. Also, he has a damn good voice, with a warm, rich texture and a very pleasing vibrato.

  • author: Dayna Cramer

"This ex-monk shed his robes, found God in a pair of jeans and turned poetry into easy listening. This music is uplifting, brimming with positive vibes Woods has a nice voice and can spin poetry." -- Dayna Cramer BAM magazine (California's music magazine)

    Great Stuff!

  • author: Becky in Austin

"I will never be able to tell you how much your music changed my life and way of thinking. You helped me see the future with hope and open the door of my heart again. I will love you forever!" -- Becky in Austin, TX

  • author: Terry - NY

"I am absolutely in love with your music! My husband died this past year and your lyrics have such a powerful message - especially to those in grief. ""Kiss Me With Your Eyes' is one of my favorites because it reminds me that I WANT THAT AGAIN! I haven't been so 'into' listening to the same thing over and over since my Rickie Nelson days when I was 13! I want to give several as gifts. Please send me 8!" -- Terry in New York, NY

  • author: Doreen in Miami

"I shared your song 'A Month Ago Today' with a friend of mine who recently lost his wife. We were in a car on our way to lunch and it was so moving that we had to pull over and finish listening to it on the side of the road cause we both started crying. You really touch a special place in people. Thanks!" -- Doreen in Miami, FL

  • author: Grace Beru

"I saw your story this evening on EXTRA, as I was channel surfing with my remote. I immediately went to your website to read more about you. I listened to your music and read your biography. I recently lost my father to cancer and it hasn't been easy to handle or accept. Send me your CD! Your songs about loss and the shortness of life move me deeply... Your music and words give me a sense of peace and an understanding from someone who's been through the same thing that's affecting my life presently."" -- Grace Berukoff by email

  • author: Greg in Houston

"I have to write to let you know how your music has influenced me and made me a better person. The expression of love, compassion, turmoil and pain in your music encourages me to experience the same emotions in myself I am a very private person and hold all of these types of things inside. When I listen to your music I can allow these emotions out. The world needs this kind of music. Thank you for sharing it."" -- Greg in Houston, TX

"An Elton John feel with inspirational lyrics. " -- G. Heller R & R Magazine

  • Where Souls Meet: Caring for the seriously ill
    Dillon's Books...

I had the privedge to work with Mr. Dillion Woods on a Hospice Case. He had been there a year already, driving, organizing and helping the patient and family cope. I couldn't believe that everything was running so smoothly. I read his book and even thou I am a practicing RN; I was amazed at all of the ideas and suggestions he had. His book is for everyone. We are all going to die. Lets do it with dignity. Using Dillons book can help guide you before you transition. A MUST get book. Who wouldn't want to be prepared? -- Mei Lani Renger, Los Angeles

"Dillon -- your book is simply tremendous.  You tell you "story" so well with occasional humor and a light touch that, in spite of the seriousness of the subject, makes your book comfortable reading. It is such an important and definitely a realistic part of life although many refuse to face the subject until they are in the midst of the experience with a loved one -- or even themselves.  Your book is the kind of guide that would have made many of the years I spent watching my mother's diagnosed Alzheimer’s (which eventually claimed the lady who not only was a mother but a best friend) "easier" -- mostly in the sense of knowing what should be done ahead of time, knowing how to cope on a daily basis and knowing there was going to be an end. You write from your heart with your head in place -- realism with love. Great job."  MLB

    Dear Dillon,

I really can not tell you enough how blessed we are with your audio book Where Souls Meet.  Our hospice is relatively new and many of our employees are not experienced in "being" with the dying and their families.  I often try to explain how to be "present" with the patient and never really feel I get the point across.  Your audio book is priceless in guiding the staff to a level of understanding that I could never even hope to achieve for them. I too have been greatly blessed by your words. After listening, I feel refreshed and centered. Keep up the great work!

I absolutely loved your book.  As home care nurses preparing patients for hospice, my team wanted some insight into the thoughts of the dying and ideas to help them be more comfortable discussing death and dying. Someone had
given me a copy of Where Souls Meet, and I think it should be a key reference tool for our nurses.  If you have other materials, I would be very interested in seeing them.

    Thank you,

"Where Souls Meet is the best book I have read that serves as a guide for caretakers of chronically and/or seriously ill patients.  As a hospice chaplain, I meet many caretakers who are very stressed and have few resources to draw from. Vista Care Family Hospice Office in Carlsbad, New Mexico has gotten ten copies which we are loaning out to the caretakers of our patients. The response I've had from one person who read the book said the same thing I have said, "This book is the best."  It provides much needed and many excellent suggestions for caretakers. It should be required reading for every hospice worker." -- Elena Yoder, MA
Chaplain & bereavement counselor, Carlsbad, NM

"As an oncology chaplain at UCLA Medical Center, I am always looking for practical, helpful, and meaningful resources that I can use to help patients, their caregivers, and other health care professionals deal with the overwhelming challenges that serious illness can present. Where Souls Meet is one of the best resources I have read on this subject. It serves as a deeply moving and personal guide that will lead the reader through the journey that all of us, in one way or another, will someday travel." -- Chaplain James Putney, MA , Oncology Chaplain, UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA

"I am a hospice volunteer coordinator and we have just started using Where Souls Meet as a volunteer manual. I lost a close friend this week. We all laughed together and cried together, and stood arm in arm as the funeral home wheeled him out the door. I came home and re-read parts of your book and went to bed with a peaceful heart. Your book has helped a lot of people. Thank you for writing it." -- Pam Kite, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, Perryton, TX

"Dillon, Thank you so much for your presentation at our Hospice Volunteer Training Program. It is apparent from your book that you have a deep understanding of this work, but what moved me most was your compassion and respect for the trainees. In addition to delivering the information, you allowed the Volunteers space in which to process their own thoughts and feelings in a gentle and loving way. It is a privilege to have you involved in our Hospice Program. We look forward to your next seminar." -- Guy Birtwhistle, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, Los Angeles, CA

"Dillon, Thank you so much for your participation as an executive committee member for our National Cancer Survivors Day celebration at City of Hope. The original song "To Life" that you wrote and performed in honor of the day was an extra special addition to our event. We are using your book "Where Souls Meet" in our Patient and Family Learning Center. Resources for effective communication with the seriously ill are especially critical for our caregivers when a cure for their loved one is not possible. Thank you for all your work." -- Linda Baginski , Patient Resources Coordinator-City of Hope National Medical Center

Where Souls meet by Dillon Woods is the book I wish I had had when dealing with the death of my husband 3 years ago. There was nothing available like it at the time. EVERY baby boomer needs to have this book available as it offers such insight into the dying process and serves as a much needed guide for everything from the spiritual needs to the basic how to handle the every day process of living in the middle of dying needs. I have found several friends who have expressed their gratitude that I pressed a copy of this book into their hands as they were in the process of wringing them as they searched for a way to deal with their parents or loved ones dying. What a gift to be able to offer a guide book for troubled times.  -- Becky Robinson, Texas

While Dillon Wood's book is primarily written to help ease the miscommunication and lack of communication with the terminally ill; he has given those of us surviving in the limbo of a survivable (yet possibly fatal) disease a guide of etiquette also. As a cancer survivor some of my darkest memories were not always the treatments or the setbacks but the reactions from fellow humans. Mr. Woods above all explains that we are alive until we are not. A gentle touch, a word of love and above all not being made to feel sub human by condescension are in themselves the tools of respect. -- Felica Vreeland, Texas
